Date Formula

I tried using Dateformula as a data type for a field, and I found out that it does not accept standard Date. Can anyone suggest something

    The DateFormula is not a date. It is a formula to calculate the date, such as 1D (1 day) or 1W (1week).

    For saving date values use Date or DateTime Field.
