Hello,
We have created an extension with several application areas. These get enabled according to an inbuilt license management where a function to update the license also enables our application areas that we include with that license. The logic is basically:
1. License get updated
2. Extension application areas get enabled (never disabled)
We know that extensions get disabled in sandbox environments when they are updated, thus disabling application areas added via the extensions. But this is happening outside environment updates and in production. This is happening automatically as well, it is not a user that is doing this.
We suspect that this is happening because of some standard code and I have reviewed the Application Area Mgmt. without success. I have also reviewed the link below without finding anything. Is anyone else experiencing something similar or knows what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.
Extending Application Areas - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
Hello,
We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist. If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.
I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.
Thanks.
