Dynamics 365 icon not showing up in Office.com main portal

Posted on by 5

Hi,

We just turned on Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing in our Azure tenant.  From what I understand, when I go to portal.office.com and look at My Apps or All Apps, I should see Dynamics 365 icon if I have an assigned license.  None of the Dynamics icons are showing up here, Sales or Marketing.

If I go to the URL for our Dynamics instance, Sales Hub and Marketing are both there.

Any idea how I get these apps to show up? This will be an issue for end users when we roll out if the icons are not in the list.

Regards,

Keith

    Hello Keith,

If you click on the "All Apps" tab, does it show up under there? If it does not show up there, I would definitely open up a Microsoft Support ticked with Dynamics and the support team can work with the Office.com team to find out why the icon is not appearing.

    Thanks,

    Tyson

The problem is the Dynamics or CRM icon is not showing up in the new location; Office 365 portal.  See screenshot below. I don't have an icon for CRM, Sale, Marketing, One Voice, etc.

    Hello Keith,

There were some recent changes around this:

Do note that following up in the "Dynamics 365 Home is deprecated" article at docs.microsoft.com/.../important-changes-coming, it is stated that:

« Effective March 2020, the home page for Dynamics 365 applications (https://home.dynamics.com) is deprecated and won't be available on or after May 2021. The Microsoft 365 apps page (https://www.office.com/apps) will replace it and provide users with a single page for productivity and business applications.

Dynamics 365 Home users will see notification about the new location and recommendation to change browser bookmarks starting October 1, 2020. On or after April 1, 2021, users will no longer be able to navigate to https://home.dynamics.com from the Office 365 applications list or the Office 365 application launcher. After May 2021, users who navigate to https://home.dynamics.com will automatically be redirected to https://www.office.com/apps with a business application filter applied.»

The D365 icon has been removed and now under "All Apps" you should now see a "CRM" Icon. This will then redirect you Power Platform Admin center which should then show your Dynamics 365 Organizations.

    Thanks,

    Tyson
