I am trying to link multiple leads from dataverse to one customer profile in Customer Insights data.
Use Case:
Our business creates new leads everytime a form is filled out or an event registration is created. This means that sometimes the same customer has multiple records (Leads) in CRM. I would like to use Customer Insights data to unify all these leads + the Parent Contact (If there is one), so we can see all touch points from the different records on the Customer Profile.
I have tried to set it up, but I seems like one Customer Profile can only be linked to 1 Contact and 1 Lead. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the relationship so the Customer Profile unifies data from multiple Leads (if they have the same email)?
I have created a 1:M relationship between Contact and Lead to see if this would help, but it doesnt. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks!!
Currently, in Customer Insights, each Customer Profile links to only one lead and one contact record by default. It does not support unifying multiple leads into a single profile out-of-the-box.
Possible approaches:
Pre-merge leads in Dataverse before ingestion, so only one lead per customer is brought into Customer Insights.
Use custom matching rules in Customer Insights to unify records by common attributes (like email), but this still links to one lead record.
Model multiple leads as related entities outside the main profile, then surface those via custom dashboards or Power BI.
Unfortunately, Customer Insights doesn’t natively support linking multiple leads to one profile in a 1-to-many way.
