Problem: Can I forecast revenue when I'm building an opportunity?
I'm investigating Dynamics CRM for a move from another CRM system.
Here is an example of what I'm trying to do:
I'd like to be able to enter this forecast against this Opportunity:
So I could run a report:
We don't use CRM for creating invoices or billing.

What you are looking for is a weighted estimated revenue. You will need to do some customization and the basic steps are follows
create a new field to hold the value and then calculate the required value. I would suggest using javascript however you could also business rules or real time workflows
You may prefer the user to enter the estimated revenue into the new field and then output the value of the calculation into the existing estimated revenue that way you don't have to change dashboards, etc .
