Sales order lines transaction qty not correct

hi

we have sales order lines that do not show the correct stock transaction quantity being allocated.

so far it seems to be sales lines that have been had the quantity changed eg from 5 to 10

when we check the stock transaction on the line it shows only 5 on order

when we the do reservation only 5 can be reserved to line despite having stock to cover 10

is there any inventory balance routine we can run to try and fix this?

cheers

mal

    Hello mal / raff,

How do you allocate the stock transactions?

Is this an automation that has been build?

Would be great if you could describe a bit more about this allocation and ideally post some supporting screenprints.

    Many thanks,

    Ludwg

Also, can you let us know what AX version you operate?

    hi Ludwig

i just mean the natural D365 calculation that occurs when a sales line is entered, D365 recognizes that a specific quantity is required for the sales line and reflects that as such in inventory transactions as a quantity on order

this quantity is not always reflecting the actual on order quantity, and it seems to be sales lines that we have changed that are affected

    Hi,

If I understand you correctly then you refer to the default order settings that can be made for an item.

Can you go to your released product and check them especially what has been setup in the 'multiple', 'min order quantity' ... fields?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Note: Will move this thread to the D365 forums

    Hi Raff,

It should automatically update inventory transactions. Verified it again to be sure. Another option that you should verify is:

on SO header > General tab > Line quantity, that should also show you updated quantity. Do you have any kind of workflow etc built in that would prevent InventTrans from updating. Also if you see the same behavior in other machine which doesn't have any customization, suggest that you check LCS or open ticket with MS.

    Thanks,

    Satish Panwar
