HQ Client Error -2147217871: Timeout expired

I am implementing RMS 2.0 for one of my client which is having 84000 items, 
when I connect store to HQ for taking WS-401 it took 30 min & it gave me 
(Error -2147217871: Timeout expired). I have changed 
connection time out for HQ client to 300 but the issue exist, any help please.

RMS-HQ-server specification: 
Dellâ„¢ Optiplexâ„¢ 760, 2 GB RAM, and 240 GB HD
Microsoft Windows XP SP3, SQL 2005 SP3, and RMS 2.0 SP3

Store Operations server (one machine [server + POS]) specification:

Posiflex machine, 1 GB RAM, and 80 GB HD
Microsoft Windows XP SP3, SQL 2005 SP3, and RMS 2.0 SP3

    For the printing of receipts reply.  Change your conneciton timeout to atleast 60 within Administrator.

    For the original poster, which model is the posiflex machine.  Should start with KS,TP etc (two letters and 3 to 4 digits).  I suspect that the Posiflex machine is not powerful enough to run the query quick enough for the reply.  On the single station change your HQ Client timeout and also your Store Operations timeout within Administrator.

    I am also having this error windows xp service pack 3. RMS 2.0 with SP4, and windows 2003 server.

    I am having this error as well.  I have 7 stores and HQ.  2 of my stores are crashing at the point of printing reciepts of credit cards and cash.  Did you figure out what was causing this?
