This article from docs.Microsoft explains how a model-driven app is designed and it states the following under the User interface paragraph:
Apps determine the app fundamentals, like components, properties, the client type, and the URL.
Can you please explain to me what is a "client type", what is a "client type" here and where can I find this information inside the Power Apps/Power Platform universe? Can you give me a few examples of different types of "client types" used in different scenarios (inside/outside of Dataverse, using/not using Power Apps, etc.)?
Thanks!
Hi Joel,
There are two client types, web client and Unified Interface client.
The web client has been deprecated on October 1, 2020. Now the model-driven apps in Dynamics 365 CE online are all of the Unified Interface client type.
More information: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/important-changes-coming#legacy-web-client-is-deprecated
Therefore, there is only one client type currently available, the Unified Interface client.
