When opening an attachment on a Purchase Order ax client crashes.

What kind of attachment?

It is all file type attachments.
When I open the first PO or PR and go through the attachments, they open.
The minute I go to the next PO or PR and open the attachment, the client crashes.
This is happening to other users as well.

Is it happening everywhere in the system?
In the first message you said it's about purchase order attachments. Now you tell it's also purchase requisition attachments. But is it really all attachments everywhere?
Has it worked ok before? What changes were made in the system after it stopped working? Is this a test or production environment? Is it working in any other environment for this customer?
Is Citrix used?
We only attach on PO and PR's.
This is issue is on both instances.

Hmm, something has to have changed somewhere because the behaviour of the system as changed. But it can be hard to determine what.
What is in the event log on the client computer? What Windows version is used? When were last Windows updates installed? Does that match the time when the client crashes began?
I would also double check that the kernel version of the client is same or higher than the kernel version of the AOS.

Please check first if the document attached exists, because AX is crashing all the time when the system doesnt find any document, same happens with the personalized format saved.
go to the path that is setup in the Attachments:
This folders normally is being deleted for maintenance, but check.

This document does exist.
I am trying to see if it could be windows updates.
On the server the client application works perfectly.
Ok, but the path is a share folder? Maybe the server doesn't have access to the path. Try to open the path in windows from the server.
