Move Activity on by X Days - Workflow

I want to create an on demand workflow that will move the selected activities (phone calls primarily) on by X days. By 'move on' I basically mean add x days to the due date(s).

I'm new to CRM and workflows, but I'm thinking that I could create a dialogue workflow to accept the number of days and then add this on to the due date. What I'm struggling with is how I can add the days on within the workflow? I can see how to add on a set number of days, but not a variable passed from the dialogue.

Anyone done that one before.

Many thanks,

Steve

    Hi Both,

Thanks, that's great. CRM DateTime Workflow Utilities sounds perfect. I've installed the solution, but can't find any documentation on how to actually use in a workflow.

    Any pointers at all?

    Many thanks,

    Steve

The Time/Day workflow is perfect for this, It allows you to specify current field, field to take the number from and also the destination field

I use this to add a soft SLA on Phone call activities where the Accounts have different return by dates

It takes the phone call, Looks at the account field and then updates the due date on the call

I don't think that is possible with a simple OOB workflow/dialog, You should go for some Custom workflow/activity to achieve this "date add" functionality. I'm sure there should be lot of solutions available for you which you can simply import and start using. Some thing like this .. crmdatetimeworkflowutilities.codeplex.com
