Hello:
I'm working on configuring Management Reporter 2012 CU13 in our test environment, with a restored ManagementReporter database from our production environment.
We have granted a Windows Authenticated user with "sysadmin" rights in SQL. This is the service account user and the user that I'm logged on to the server as.
Yet, upon clicking the drop-down list for databases to connect to the restored ManagementReporter database, I get the error message saying "Couldn't retrieve the list of available databases: Login failed". I do not get this error, if I specify "sa".
Other than ensuring that sysadmin rights are in place, what am I missing?
Thanks!
John

Well, I logged off for the second time, went back on the server, opened the Configuration Console, and the wizard let me retrieve the list of databases. So, I got this to work, after all! Strange!
Now, it would not let me retrieve the list of databases for connecting to the DYNAMICS database. So, I had to use "sa", there. But, again, at least I was able to get past these issues.
