We have used RMS with a Kassoy Power-12 Printer to create labels for our business. We use tags on continuous rolls and have had no problems until recently. Our two printers (at two different locations) have developed the same problem: The printer is not advancing enough to properly line up with the next tag, which has made it nearly impossible to print multiple labels. By the third or fourth tag in a series, they are completely misaligned. We have changed several variables regarding the label sizes and margins in an attempt to fix this, but nothing seems to change the fact that the labels are just not advancing enough.
We've tried resolving the problem through troubleshooting with Kassoy and now are wondering if it is something to be resolved in RMS. Are there parameters we should be aware of with continuous rolls? Would it help to uninstall and reinstall the printer and it's drivers? (We're considering the latter as a worst case scenario.)

Hi, Art.
I have set many label printers although never a Kassoy -always Zebras or blasters. Maybe what I know might help though. I never use the windows driver setup for label printers. I always use a generic text printer pointed to the port (usb, lpt, whatever) that the printer setup creates when you install the printer. Share it, also make it the default if you can as it is easier to use. I then create the label in the printer's native language (there are many examples in the RMS labels folder). It is a little bit of a challenge the first time but the reward is it always works, and all the good stuff uses the printers built in program - like where the labels stop, barcode printing, etc, and it will run really fast too. Watching your labels print at ten inches per second is really cool, too.
