Creating Accounts

Hi Guys

I am looking at making the process of creating an account as simple as possible, currently from what I can gather you need to create the contact then the account and relate the contact.

Does anybody know if an account and contact can be created at the same time very similar to creating a lead, it would be really handy if the account could be created in the same way as a lead.

Many thanks

Jim

The cleanest way would be to populate the lead record and convert it. If this is too many clicks you could add a first name and last name field to the account and have a workflow kick in when the account is created to automatically create a contact based on the information entered. Thanks for the swift reply, basically the users want to type in the first name and the last name of the contact when creating the account similar to when a lead is created,

    Many thanks

You can create an account in the same way as you can create a lead. If you want to create a contact off this account, you can do it from the account record and have key information, such as the account address automatically copy across to the contact record and the contact will be automatically linked. If you want to create both the account and contact in one hit, create a lead and hit the conversion button. Leon Tribe Want to hear me talk about all things CRM?
