is there an easy way to set the default company for business portal. I just setup a test company and now the users are defaulting to the test company in BP. I changed a couple manually in the BP user settings but it didn't change it when I tried to access bP as that user. Do I have to restart iis for the change to take affect?

Another tip... You can assign your users to roles for specific companies. The default for the user role is "All Companies", but by assigning them to only specific companies, they should never see new companies that they shouldn't.

i am using the default company provider. It is BP 4 with GP 10. I tested it with one account and the default didn't change. Seems to be fine for other users. I had to update all users manually.

You shouldn't have to restart to have this change go into affect.
Are you using the default (out of the box) company provider, or have you made changes such that web services now provides the company list? What version of Business Portal are you using?
