Reinstall RMS 2.0.0151

Need to reinstall RMS 2.0.0151.  Computer crashed and now trying to get everything back up and running.  Any help in appreciated.

    Hi Bookkeeper,

    As Kevin mentioned, additional information is needed in order to assist.

    Once you are to the point of reactivating RMS, the telephone activation numbers are:

    866-432-3012
    866-542-3062

    In testing, I called in to 866-432-3012 to work with a representative on the phone after going through the automatic prompts; and after providing an Installation ID they should provide you with a Confirmation ID.

    Here are the steps I used:

    1. I called 866-432-3012.
    2. Accepted the agreement.
    3. Entered the provided number to validate.
    4. I said "it's something else" after the 1st prompt.
    5. I said "other business product" after the 2nd prompt.
    6. Validated call back number.
    7. Entered 1 stating I was calling from the US.
    8. I was then transferred to a representative on the phone; and stated I was trying to activate Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System.
    9. The representative verified they could activate RMS

    In the past this involved:

    1. Provide the installation ID showing on the RMS screen

    2. Representative will validate the Installation ID.

    3 The representative should then provide the confirmation ID.

    Enter the Confirmation ID to activate the product.

    Just a note that Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 ended on July 10, 2016; and extended support ends on 7/13/2021:

    This is less than 3 months from now; and you can continue using RMS after this date, but technical support will not be available.

    I would recommend checking with your partner in regard to what they may recommend as a replacement system after the extended support end date.

    Hi! Which modules do you need to reinstall (POS?, Manager? Admin?)? Do you have a backup of the RMS Database? The RMS Lane License Key? Do you have the installation CD? Are you current on maintenance/BRAP and have access to CustomerSource? Finally, what type of store do you have and what city/state are you located in? I realize that is a lot of questions but more information is needed in order to assist you. Thanks!
