I am the administrator for the company's Microsoft CRM and need to make some changes to the sales process flow. How do I make an opportunity open a new order box once it is converted to Won? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

    Hi,

     have a look:

I think setting up the process flow that way would be the easiest.. unless you want to write javascripts..

You might also start using quotes? There is create order button on the quote form (though that'll be a different process for the users)

    Hi Nicole,

I am not sure if you are aware of the current sales process which is you create an opportunity, you then create quotes from that opportunity, that quote pre populate all the opportunity info in quote, when you close the quote as won, you get a small popup asking to close the related opportunity and create an order.

Just sharing may be the out of box process help you achieve your requirement without any changes to your crm :)

If you still want to auto create order when opportunity is closed as won, then you can follow above suggestions.

hi Ravi, in my opportunity i have many customized fields. when i convert opportunity to quote , the quote does not pre-populate all opportunity info in the quote. Is this because i have yet to setup the 1:n relationship mapping  between the custom fields from opportunity?

Issue i have like 50 pieces of customized fields in my opportunity. i don't really want to setup these all in "quote" and then set up them in "order" repeatedly.

the ultimate goal is in my "order" i need to take the info. from "opportunity" and then info from "quote"

Yes, you need to add these fields in the relationship mapping.
