
I have had a problem some cases in CRM 2011 where the modified date and time of attached emails is changing. For example - this morning we were working on a case and it was assigned to a queue, and then assigned to an owner. When we refreshed the case every email that was attached to is has now got its modified date set to the time that the case was assigned to a new owner. This is very frustrating - is this by design or is this a fault. Also - Is it possible to change the display on the main case form so that it shows the create date of the emails rather than this modified date?

I know this is a very old question, but it's the first that shows up in Google so I thought I'd respond. The modified date is probably due to a change happening to the email as part of a parental relationship to the case (or some other object). It's a pain that the modified date continues (in 2015) to be what shows on the form's activity pain pane.
