Regression Suite Automation Tools (RSAT) not working with Office 365

Hi

I am struggling with getting RSAT to run on a Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops server.

I have O365 Excel working on the server but when I start RSAT I get the warning "Your Microsoft Excel license is not valid or is not activated. This will cause test execution to fail".

Any help is appreciated!

I have the same question (0)

Thank you but the post you refer to is for Remote Server Administration Tools and not Regression Suite Automation Tool.

    Hi Flodenh,

You need to activate Excel license in order to use RSAT.

If you have an O365 license, you should be able to activate Excel.

Try to sign in Excel with your MS account.

    Best Regards,

    Tad

    Hi Tad

I have already done that. I am signed in to O365 and can work in Excel without any problems.

    Hi

Yes I managed to get passed this through a call with O365 support.

As I recall it the trick was to set the registry variable HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration\SharedComputerLicensing to 0, run RSAT once (problem gone) and reset HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration\SharedComputerLicensing to 1.

It seemed that RSAT does not support shared computer licensing for O365. You might want to discuss with Microsoft support before doing any of this :)

    Hi,

I am getting the same issue, the Regedit amendment does not solve my issue, Windows 10 DaaS, RSAT with Office 365 installed and active in my name. Any suggestions please ?

    Thank you
