How to divide two different series in Chart XML

Posted on by 1,320

My end goal for this chart is to show Utilization (sum of duration/sum of available hours) from the previous 7 days, at the business unit level, then drill down to the user level. The data I'm pulling from is Timecards. My issues:

1. My Available hours numbers is off. It's supposed to be 40 hours X each user. I don't know how I would get this number on this chart. I guess I could just hard code the available hours based on each business unit (ie Customer Support has 7 users so I would divide by 280 hours; Cabling has 4, so 160). Is this possible in XML? Or is there another way to do this via calculated fields or somewhere else?

2. If I can get available hours to pull through correctly, I then have to divide the two bars against eachother and have it show on the chart as a percentage to get utilization.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
