Entity form to have Save as Draft and Continue later buttons in Portal

Hi All,

I have the following business logic to be implemented in D365 portal,

    1. Sing Up form with Multiple Page/Tab

    2. Each tab/page should have two buttons named Save as Draft and Continue Later.

The Save as Draft button should allow user to enter data and save it and the continue later button should let user to resume their Sign Up process whenever they need.

Also, I would like to trigger actions using these two button.

Could anyone of you please explain me the how this can be implemented.

Thank you very much for your kind response in advance! :)

Hi Leo, take a look at the Web Form documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../web-form-steps

you set it up as each Web Form Step representing a TAB

Whenever a user clicks moves to the next step, the record is updated in CRM with the latest information

Calling custom actions requires is a bit tricky, but possible using this trick: uds.systems/.../how-to-run-custom-code-in-dynamics-365-portal

basically you will have a plugin on a RetrieveMultiple for a custom entity representing your action request, then you will need to call that via the Portal, so you will need a web page/web template with a fetch making the call

    Hi Oliver,

Thank you very much for taking time to answer my question! :) I'm able to create multi page survey by load tab option using web from in Community portal.

Could you please let me know if the same can be implemented in Partner Portal as well? I tried creating a link from Web Set Link so that this would be accessible from Home page. However, I do not find the same option which I saw for Community Portal.

    Thank you,

    Leo

Yes you should have the same options available for both Community Portal and Partner Portal

How are you adding the Web Link? I would suggest adding it in the CRM entities/records rather than using the Portal customizer wizard kind of thing

What you need is create a Web Link that redirects to the Web Page with your Web Form, and then adding the Web Link to the desired Web Link set
