How to track all meetings and appointment from Outlook to Dynamics 365 CRM

Can we sync Outlook meetings and appointment to Dynamics 365 in same manner like you suggested syncing of all outgoing and incoming mails.

Like if any user creates meeting or appointment against some contacts in outlook then it should sync these tasks to respective timeline of Contacts in Dynamics 365 automatically . I dont want it manually.

Thanks

    Hi partner,

Using folder tracking can only track emails, not appointments.

To track appointments from Outlook, we need to use Tracked to Dynamics 365 category in Outlook.

    Please refer to docs.microsoft.com/.../use-outlook-category-track-appointments-emails

However, we can only select Tracked to Dynamics 365 category for the appointments manually. We can't make Outlook automatically select it for appointments.

So that's why appointments cannot be tracked automatically, only manually.

    Thanks all.

I was able to track all emails using rules and folder tracking concept in Outlook . But meetings and appointment are not getting synced .

    Hi Sumit,

While there's no normal out-of-the-box behavior that will track all appointments automatically, I think it could be possible.

If you are using category tracking with Server-Side Sync (docs.microsoft.com/.../use-outlook-category-track-appointments-emails), then all you need to do is setup some way to automatically apply the "Tracked to Dynamics 365" category to all (or maybe only certain) calendar items.  This is the step I could not figure out, as it seems you can't run rules in the Calendar in Outlook.

Maybe others in the community can help build off that?

    Hi partner,

Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is impossible to automatically sync appointments from Outlook to D365, we can only track them manually.

Please wait and see what other experts say.
