An employee was transitioning to a Short Term Disability from a 3rd party. Our payroll department gave the employee an advance with the terms that when the STD paid the employee they would reimburse the company with a check. We now know this was not the correct procedure as an advance can only be repaid via an advance reclaim from the employee's income. Is there any way to get a check deposited into the company account (ie in the bank GL account) over into the employee's payroll income account so that we can clean up this mess.
