Look Up search not filtering Disabled Users

A custom field that allows a user to populate an entry from the list of System Users appears to show Disabled Users in addition to Enabled Users when using the Search in the Look Up form.

We've restricted the views in the form to only the Enabled Users view, and even gone so far to disable any other Personal Views for the active user that show Disabled Users.

This has been experienced by multiple users.

I couldn't find anything on these forums that reference this issue directly, nor could I find any Security Roles/Rights that would be causing this to occur.  It seems to me that it just might be a setting somewhere and I'm hoping it's simple.

    Hi,

You can also users to clear their browser cache and check, also in the lookup view for this entity you can set filtering criteria, make sure it is setup correctly to show enabled users only, you can set this on standard looup view for the user or specific view which you have created

    Hope this will help!

Thank Mahen, but unfortunately, neither of these approaches solved the issue.  The User Look Up View was already set as you indicated in the screenshot, and clearing the cache and cookies also didn't affect it.  Disabled users still show up in the search.

That's strange, can you confirm when you navigate to Users, Are you able to see this user under Disabled Users list, if yes can you share screenshot of filtering criteria of your lookup view.

    thanks

Yes, this user (and the other disabled users that appear in this lookup when searching) are listed in the Disabled Users area.  They also show as isDisabled = 1 in the database.

Here is the view of my User Lookup View criteria:

In the screenshot you have provided, you have used enabled users view, check the criteria for enabled users view. Also you have mentioned that disabled users appears when using the Search in the Look Up form, does this mean the disable users are not in the list be default but then when you search they appear?

Correct.  The Enabled Users view only shows the enabled users.  And that Look Up reflects that by default - so when you first open the Look Up form, the list that's presented initially only shows enabled users.  But when you use the Search option on that Look Up form, the results include disabled users.

Still hoping for a resolution or direction on this one.

    Hey Aerick,

Can you please confirm if by any change this users doesn't have a license to PowerApps and/or Flow, and if So please remove the license, wait for a while and try again.

Why I'm asking this? PowerApps or Flow licenses makes a user to appear as Enabled as some Automated Processes or Apps requires access to Dynamics CRM so when you assign someone this type of license he will appear as Enabled User

Unfortunately, we don't have either of these solutions installed.  But thank you for the suggestion!

My last suggestion will be to reach Microsoft Dynamics CRm Support, the responsible internal team handling this issues is called “Application”. They can help you for sure since we tried everything from the UI.

    regards,

    Kiril
