    Hi,

Can you please brief your requirement? Because there is no Page available in the system with name of Posting No. series, instead its a field available in Table 36 - Sales Header and Table 38 - Purchase Header. which is required to update automatically when you post any Sales related document and Purchase related documents.

    Hi Nitin,

Thanks for responding, I have a client and they want to use the posting no. series as per locations and as it is available on on-prem, it is difficult to provide the same on the SAAS. While importing it through Configuration package, the conditions do not get imported and we have to manually update it. Is there any alternative for it?

Hi, Can you please check if its custom made in On-Prem?

Which Bc version/region you are using?

    Please check this -- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/localfunctionality/india/posting-no-series-setup

I already saw this document and it wasn't filling my expectation. Talking about the version, I am using 20.0 application version and region i've tried both India and US.

Also, do you think with Customisation, the requirement that i mentioned earlier can be fulfilled?

    Thanks.

Posting No. Series is defined in Setup (either sales or purchase). The actual No. Series used is defined in the regular number series and automatically assigned to the document at the time of creation. There is no standard functionality to override the Posting No. Series

Hi, Just take sales as an example.

You can find the setup in Sales & Receivables Setup page.

The specific definition is in the No. Series page.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

currently, we are having a client with multiple locations and he wants to create different posting No. series for every document. In the Business Central onprem we have the option for the same to define the posting no. series based on the condition as there is a posting no. series setup page available but in case of cloud version the same is not available.

As this is the mandatory requirement of the client we need this option available in the cloud version also.

for reference please refer to the screen shot of the onprem posting no. series setup.

I think you should check if this posting no. series page is a customization or a add-on. I have never seen this in the standard product. If it is - i think it must be a part of your localization.

It is not customized page nor Add-on. It is available in Onprem version, but not available on cloud version.

That does not really make sense because if the versions are the same there will be no difference between online and on-prem when it comes to functionality like that.

Can you do a page inspection on the page and provide us with a screenshot of that information so we can see the page number you are looking at ?
