Dual-write configuration page not opening

Hi Community experts,

I have configured dual-write in finance and operations through LCS. The setup is complete successfully.
The account I used to setup dual-write can access the configuration page correctly.
Data management workspace> Dual-write

But when I use my other account it is throwing an error:

I am unable to find out what is the exact problem here? Is this related to licenses or there's something else I need to check?

Looking for usual helpful responses.

Best Regards.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I faced this error yesterday while using incognito window with Edge. I switched to normal  Edge browser (not incognito) and it worked.

We ran into the same issue and worked with Microsoft Support to resolve it. Initially, the problem was due to third-party cookies being enabled, which prevented the proper error message from displaying. Once we disabled third-party cookies, a different message appeared indicating a licensing issue.

Typically, admin users can be unlicensed, but in this case, a Dynamics 365 license was required. We solved the problem by ensuring that our admin user had:

    • System Administrator role in Dataverse

    • Finance and Operations Admin (FnO)

    • A valid Dynamics 365 license

    •

After this setup, dual-write access worked correctly.

    Hope this helps!

@alinawaz - Did you manage to resolve this issue? as we are experiencing the same issue on multiple environments on the same tenant?

    Hi,
In terms of permissions for dual writing, no specific permissions are required to enable dual writing. However, because dual-write is configured at the table level, you may need a Dynamics 365 license to sync certain restricted tables to Dataverse. This blog will better help you understand dual write permissions. https://www.avantiico.com/dual-write-licensing-guide/

I have tried a couple of things to make it work but the issue persists.
Can anyone point me towards the correct license I must have in order to use dual-write? This is the last thing I want to check before going for a support ticket with Microsoft.

    Hi,
Please follow sukrut's suggestion and check your tenants, and you can also check out following documents on troubleshooting dual- write issues in financial and operations applications: Troubleshoot dual-write issues in finance and operations apps - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

I have tried accessing the dual-write setup in private/incognito window but in some browser its still same error and in another browser I am seeing different error at the same time.

I think the inprivate/incognito solution wont work in this case?

    Hi,
You can also check out the old thread about this issue, the old thread mentioned using inprivate window to log in and enable third party.
