Hello,

I need remove export the excel, open in excel and export all rows from users.

How can I ? ( For example: in fixed assets.)

Hi,

For Open in Excel, this is easy as the individual data entities are managed by security as mentioned below.

For Export to Excel, there is no standard solution to enable this per page/table.

An option would be blocking all Export to Excel and having Open in Excel available by granting permissions to the entities. In case no data entity is available for a table, you can consider developing one.

In case you insist on having the option for Export to Excel available depending on the page, then this requires a customization.

Hello,

Our main request is as follows;
Imagine that a user can see both maintenance requests and all assets.
There is no problem in exporting the maintenance requests page to excel, exporting all rows or opening it in excel.
But we want to prevent all these on the all assets page.

How can we do it?

Hi,

In case you want to block Open in Excel and Export all rows, you can create a role having deny permissions for the related menu items. See next screenshot.

Open in Excel is a different feature. To hide options here, you would need to ensure the user does not have access to the specific privileges managing permissions for the public data entity. In the example of Fixed assets it is about permissions for the Entity AssetFixedAssetV2Entity. Preferrable use privileges without standard permissions for this entity. You can create duplicates of an existing privilege and remove access from the Entities node. As escape, but not recommended as common practice, you can also create a new privilege having deny permissions for the entities.

Block Export to Excel

Can you tell us more about your requirements, please? Can you remove permissions to access this entity completely, or you want to disable Open in Excel but still allow the export to Excel from data management? Or you want to remove export to a particular format? (E.g. users can export to CSV or XML but not Excel).

It would really helped if you explained your business requirements and not just your idea about the solution.
