Send an attachment received in outlook into BC as incoming document using Microsoft powerautomate - can we automate?

Hi

I have a requirement from a client which requires when a purchase invoice is sent as an attachment on email.  the attached purchase invoices is automatically sent through to the incoming documents within BC.  As standard you can do this as a manual process.

However ahs anyone been able to create a workflow to enable this type of workflow?

Any advice would be helpful

thanks

I would start with one of the outlook templates in power automate. Something like email received in outlook with attachment is assigned to a Sharepoint site or OneDrive (same thing anyway). Either of the latter connectors have event triggers, as in when something happens you can latch onto that. After that the BC connector for attachments can kick in. Although it is called attachments it is just the incoming document area of BC. If you don’t have much joy with the regular BC connector for attachments the HTTP trigger with the api endpoint from the docs.microsoft.com is just as good. I’ve noticed that you have to initially POST an incoming document record and then PATCH that record with the attachment itself
