404 - File or directory not found - error after refreshing production database to dev database

Hi,

Yesterday refreshed dev CRM database with production database so that both are in synch and after that i am getting this error while accessing dev crm.

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Tried iisreset, disbale and enable org, restarted all CRM services but still get the error.

Please let em know how to get this resolved. We do have a backup of the dev DB. I am  not sure if putting that back will help.

    Hi CRMBA,

How did you refresh the Database from Production to Development Environment?

Did you use Deployment Manager in your Dev Environment. Direct modification to the SQL Database is unsupported and may result in breaking the system.

    Thanks

    Hi CRMBA,

What do you mean refreshed dev CRM database with production database? You mean you just use backup restore the database like that or correct me.

Have you tried to check in the Deployment Manager, your org is active, then check inetmgr, IIS Manager, turned on already?

Have you checked the Program Files\CRMWeb folder is still existing there?

Have you checked the MSCRM Service?

And then try to browser locally from the server first using the default org first, can be using the dev or any org that initially you installed at the very first time installing CRM.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Mithilesh,

We didn't use deployment manager. We just did a restore of prod database. So you think that caused dev crm to break.

Thank You Aileen and Mithilesh for your posts. Was able to restore the back up dev and crm was working fine. Then used deployment manager to refresh and everything is working good now.

    Hi CRMBA,

Check your server disk drive. If there is no enough space on your database server disk, CRM can't work.
