Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to edit the register and sign in page on the new Microsoft CRM portals.

If so, how is it done?

Many thanks,

Sam

The sign in page is one that is limited in what can be done with configuration.  Can you elaborate a bit on what you want to edit?

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for the reply. We're mainly looking to customise the layout of the sign in page if possible. However we do need to add more fields to the register page. I'm not sure if that's any easier to configure.

    Hi Sam,

Please see the following link: www.inogic.com/.../customize-dynamics-crm-online-sign-in-page-using-custom-branding

    Hope this helps.

Adding fields is not something that can be done with v8 as it requires customization of the code however it is possible to enforce saving of the profile before allowing a user to navigate the site. This is about the only way you could inject information capture into the signup process.

    https://community.adxstudio.com/products/adxstudio-portals/documentation/end-users-guide/content-management/settings-templates/site-settings/site-settings/

Profile/ForceSignUp A boolean value when set to "True" will force the user to update their profile information before they will be given access to the website contents. Default: False

In terms of layout you would have to rely on css and js to achieve custom designs of this page. My recommendation would be to try and stay design lite on the sign up page as you could have unintended consequences with the various functions.

I'm looking for same thing. I need register page to collect more than username, email and password. Ideal would be to create 2 register pages. 1st like fistrname, lastname, email, passwd. Second with more details for another kind of visitors/contacts. I have crm 365 online with portal v8.2. if Craig is right and tjis is not possible .. :( ... I'll not be happy..

    Hi Sam,

Did you get solution for this? If yes, Please share your knowledge here. I am also looking for this.

    Thanks.

    Hi Shivaram,

Yes, there is a way to do this. First, need to create a custom form in the contact entity in CRM. Then go into Portal -> Entity Form and create a new entity form pointing at the new CRM form you've just created.

After that, go into Portal -> Web Pages -> Profile and associate the entity form in the localized content for that page.

Alternatively, you can do the last step from the portal itself using the admin tools.

    Hope this helps.

Edit - apologies, just realised this was for the sign in/register - not the profile page.

You'll have to edit the sign in/register page with javascript. We ended up using JQuery to hide the unwanted azure sign in.

    Hi Shivaram,

    I've found half solution...

You can use contact directly but I used custom entity (and process data at background). Create entity form with some nice form layout like Name, email, password. After visitor submit page you will run workflows to generate hash from password and assign web role. then visitor will be able to log in.

It's half solution because you cant use original registration form and I hasnt luck to implement external login to my custom registration page.

    but maybe it'll help you.

    Hi sam,

    Thanks for your reply.

But the problem is we are not getting password field in CRM form for add and how you manage the details for storing this into CRM database and creation of Contact form in CRM etc. I think this will be again pain. Isn't it?
