Why is it called "Sub-BOM" and "Subroute" on a sales order line

On a sales order line, a related BOM or Route is referred to as a “Sub-BOM” or a “Subroute”.

Why is that? Why is it not “just” called BOM and Route? (as seen in the ‘Create production order’ window)

I am familiar with the “sub” concept, and it makes sense in context of a BOM line (where the fields are called "Sub-BOM" and “Subroute”)

I have the same question (0)
