D365 Portal Administrator and default Portal Records Ownership

Good day,

I have a question regarding the ownership of the default portal records after deploying portal solution.

It seems like the ownership of the default portal records are that of the person deploying the portal solution and not that of the Portal Administrator you select while configuring the Portal Setup.

Even when changing the portal administrator after the fact does not change the ownership of these portal records.

eg. The website record is still owned by whoever deployed the Portal Solution...

Then also it seem like the only way to change the ownership of these portals records is to do an Adv find on all the portal entities and to see if the owing user = 'x' and the into reassign to an alternative service account?

If someone can please confirm this or am a missing a setting somewhere?

that's the expected behavior actually.. once you are deploying the portal, records are being imported along with it.. so the current user will have ownership of the records

ideally you should deploy the Portal with an Admin user

but if you need, like you said you must re-assign the owner through Adv Find
