Hi Andre
Within the Financial Reporter, you can attach a reporting tree to a report. This will activate the drop-down in the report viewer, and will allow you to filter the report data.
Say, for example, you have an organization hierarchy in F&O, with a legal entity, and business units:
- LE1
- BU1-1
- BU1-2
Now, if I were to attach this Organization hierarchy to a Financial report - I could run a Financial report, say P&L, and using the drop-down in the report viewer - I could show figures for the company as a whole (LE1) of for select a singular business unit, say BU1-1.This is the expected behaviour as explained by Microsoft on their YouTube channel.
Given this expected result, we tested the functionality with Contoso reference/demo data, we found it not to be working, except in the most simple case (a hierarchy consisting only of Legal Entities, without any Org Units below LE-level).
Here is a working example. The Tree "Contoso holdings" only contains Legal Entities

Trees with Organization units, other than Legal Entity will not work. Here is an example:

The question is, if anyone could suggest a default report which could be configured to work with an organization hierarchy, showing levels below Legal Entities.
Why this would be useful, is because any Organisation Hierarchy updates should automatically reflect in financial reports, without the requirement of having to maintain reporting trees separately. MR has reporting trees maintained within the editor interface, and reporting trees automatically integrated from F&O (Organisation hierarchies). It his this second type of reporting tree that we would like to make work.
Kind regards,
Jan
