Update a Read Only/Fulfilled record in the Orders Entity?

Hello,

I'm trying to update a field in an Order that has already been marked as "Fulfilled" and is thus Read Only. We would like to avoid using SQL for now. Is there a way to "unfulfill" it or activate it again so we can make changes? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your answers, & Nuno for explaining the StatusReason.

Turns out that Chitra was right and we had a plugin that I did not know about. Temporarily disabling the plugin allowed me to Activate the Orders.

Thank you for your responses, you all rock!

    Hi Jared,

New and Pending are StatusReason values for the Status Active. So if you choose New or Pending you are activating your order. The following link refers to all Status and Status Reason values in Dynamics CRM 2013.

Regarding to your error message 'Sorry, this Order Product has already been commissioned. You cannot change it.', as Chitrasan refers above, most likely it is generated by a plugin or workflow that run on SetState of Orders (and checks if order is being activated and does not allow it). Verify that, because I just tried the workflow to activate the Orders already fulfilled and I was able to activate them.

This error does not seems to be crm error. It looks like this error thrown from custom plugin or workflow. Check if you have any plugin registered under order entity that might be causing this issue.

Unfortunately these are the only two options that I have: Pending & New.

Yes. If you're willing, I made a screen recording and posted it on Youtube. It shows the Workflow I made and the error I run into when I try and run it on an Order marked "fulfilled".

    1. Did you select the Record that you wanted and did you run the workflow

    2. After running the workflow did you refresh the screen before you tried to make the changes?

That was the error message I received when trying to Activate the Order through a Workflow based on the attached image by _Damon above.

Did you change the Order status to active  before updating the record?
