Posted on by

Hello,

Is there a way to clone multiple products at the same time.

Any ideas?

    Hi

Ok so if you need product bundles then it is different, You would need to have a developer create a copy action for you

This is going to require some custom code in order to clone the bundles.

I posted a similar answer to another question earlier today, you might want to look at an ISV called "North52"  (www.north52.com) I don't get any kickback from them, but their tools do solve a lot of problems!

With their product, you could create a formula to clone complex records such as product/product bundles.  They don't have that as a specific example, but you could look at this example and modify it to suit your needs:

    support.north52.com/.../182593-training-video-n52-formula-manager-clone-recor

Just warning you, it will take a bit of work, but once you are done, it should provide you with the process you need to clone your products.

Another idea is to use a data migration tool like Scribe or Kingsway, and build a process that exports/imports product data from your CRM system as a method to clone your records.  Also a bit of work to setup, but just another idea.

    Cheers

    Nick

Thanks Mark, But that won't work.

I have 50+ fields and most of the products are bundles.

Hence i need to have bundle products get copied as well...same as the OOB clone product  functionality. (but on multiple products on the same time)

    Hi

I would make a workflow to copy them and run it against a view, Or if you have excel online you can export a view and do a quick copy/paste and change SKU numbers
