Subgrid columns shrink when selected

Hi all,
A strange thing happens in the subgrids of a form (about 10 subgrids).
When one or more records are selected, the subgrid columns all shrink together.

Before selection:

After selection:

Only a refresh of the page brings the columns back to their initial size.

There is no custom javascript that interacts with the subgrids, no subgrid has been modified in any way.
Standard configurations only: creation of column views and placement in the form.

The problem occurs on all 10 subgrids of the form.

Anyone know what this problem could be and how to fix?

Hi Partner,

Maybe you need change control for the sub-grids, I will encounter the same situation if I use the default control in the sub-grid.

When i select '(Preview)Power apps grid control' control in the sub-grid, the sub-grid columns not shrink again:

Go Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Entities > Forms, open one main form of the entity you are using, double-click the sub-grid, naviagte to 'Controls' tab in the dialog:

Hi Leah thanks for the reply.
I tried to follow the suggestion but with that control the grid is always shrinked.
In the "Properties / Value" options I left everything by default, did you make any changes?

Below is a summary with the tested controls and the effects on the subgrid.
Unfortunately none of them leave the grid extended as it should be in normal mode.

"Readonly grid (default) control"
- Start: extended
- If I select a record: shrinks
- On page load: returns extended

"(Preview) Power App grid control"
- Start: shrinked
- If I select a record: it stays shrinked
- On page loads: it stays shrinked

"Power App readonly grid control"
- Starts: extended but shrinks after half a second
- If I select a record: it stays shrinked
- On page load: it stays shrinked

Do you suggest other solutions to solve the problem?

Hi Partner,

The latest response from Microsoft: It is one Known issue.

Fix is expected to be released on the weekend of October 7^th with build 9.2.22092.00178

Even after the 2022 wave 2 update I can confirm that the problem has not been solved. Have others encountered this problem?

I'm experiencing the same issue with the new (Preview) Power Apps grid control.

Very frustrating. I am using the latest 2022 Release Wave updates.

Yes I'm still having this issue. My version is now 9.2.22101.00154 so way passed the scheduled one to tix. Thanks, GK

It looks like, when you select record it is loading OOB Chart control on left which is expected, you need to have settings disabled on view property to not show chart

do you see any hide to show chart option on top ribbon after selecting record ?

Hi Rahul,

As you can see in my screenshot, there is an option to show the chart. But this column sizing issue happens even when I'm not showing charts.

This doesn't happen on the old grid control, just the new Power Apps Grid Control.

This is also occurring sometimes with subgrids.
