I am looking for ideas, insights, or solutions to a requirement we have in our warehouse operations.
Specifically, we need to assign batch numbers to a selection of products only at the time of shipping. (so no batch entry on Purchase orders)
To achieve this, I tried creating a tracking dimension group that allows blank receipts. However, when I assign this new tracking dimension group to an item that has advanced warehouse management enabled, I receive a warning that blank receipts are not allowed for items using advanced warehouse.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to implement batch number assignment only at the time of shipping for items managed by advanced warehouse?
