AX2012 About report Named User License Count

Hi all,

I have installed 2 instances of AX2012 on same server ABC named AX01 and AX02 with different license.

I have configured report server for each instances as below

  1. AX01
    1. Report Manager URL: http://ABC/Reports
    2. Web Service URL: http://ABC/ReportServer
    3. Microsoft Dynamics AX report folder: AX01
  2. AX02
    1. Report Manager URL:  http://ABC/Reports
    2. Web Service URL:  http://ABC/ReportServer
    3. Microsoft Dynamics AX report folder: AX02

All reports of each instance run correctly with its own data except report Named User License Count.

This report always show the named user license count of AX01.

Do you have any idea about this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

I looked at this report and it is a Report Data Provider Class based report.  I am curious to hear if you have generated full IL code for EACH instance of the AOS, as the RDP should be IL code that is running to retrieve the information.  I am wondering if the IL code is stale.

    Please keep us posted,

    Best Regards,

    Bill Thompson

    Hello,

Generating CIL code for each instance sounds like a very good idea to me.

    Hi Bill,

I've generated full CIL for each instance, unfortunately the report always show the named user license count of AX01

    Do you have any idea?

    Hello,

At this point, I think I would open up a support request so we can have an engineer look at your system with you.  As long as the configurations appear correct, and a full IL generation has been successfully completed., I am not sure what could be causing this issue.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Trung,

I have a question related to this.

My understanding was that if you have 2 AX instances you will need 2 SSRS instances (could be on same SQL server). Is it not true?

My understanding was based on below link.

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh389760.aspx

    Any idea?

    Hi Nag,

I use only one SSRS instance for 2 instance AX. I just created 2 folder report for each instance.

Almost report run ok except the report  Named User License Count in module System Administration.

    Trung
