Inventory sorted by Class ID with Quantities Report

ReportReport
Posted on by 415

I need a report that I can export to excel that displays item number, description and quantity available but I only need it for one class id. The only thing I can find is a smart list that I can add the column "Item Class Code" which is fine as once it's in Excel I can sort and throw out all the Class Codes I don't need. The problem is the smart list only displays the 1st 1000 items found, is there a way to make it give me more or maybe even a report that I didn't find that will do the same thing.

Thanks in advance,

Shellie

That was it! Now it's perfect you just saved me several man hours as I needed this data in Excel to upload in a comma delimted format and had I not gotten this I would have had to key it all in manually. You're my new best friend ;o)

Are you getting a result for each discrete location and then one summary for each also?  Some of the inventory SmartLists generate results this way.  If that's what's happening, filter for a 'Record Type' of 'Site'.  You'll need to add the Record Type field to your SmartList.

    Shellie,

You can modify the SmartList Search Options to return all records.  Click on 'Search' and then at the bottom of the Search window, increase the 'Maximum Records' and click 'OK'.

Also, you can filter on only the Class ID you want included in the query by clicking on 'Column Name' in the Search window, select the 'Class ID' column and filter 'Is Equal To' whatever your desired Class ID is.

    Hope this helps,
