Schedule Board - Map View - Show trajectories for a week instead of the day itself

Hello everybody,

We have a requirement from the customer to show the trajectories of the technicians during the week.

Scenario:

Technician leaves his address or his OU address in the beginning of the week and only comes back home on friday.

During that week, he/she has several WO booked, and stay the nights at the hotel.

The goal is to view, though the map on the schedule board, his full path from beginning of the week till the end.

Right now the map only shows the path, for interventions during the selected day.

Any ideas? Is there a way to configure an interval on the map, to show more bookings?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Emmanuel Tavares

Hi Emmanuel, the schedule board itself will not work for this requirement. Option1 would be to look at Resco Routes (www.resco.net/.../ ), which requires a separate license. Option 2: Technician locations are tracked in the Mobile Audit entity (or a custom entity if you prefer) and can be visualized using a custom solution based on e.g. Bing Maps or Azure Maps. This approach would be for looking back only, if you wanted to visualize the future trajectory, you could use Bing/Azure Maps based on the bookings entity.

    Hi Alexander,

The goal is indeed to visualize future trajectory, but now that you mention it, having the look back might be a good thing too.

I have no knowledge regarding azure maps and how to integrate it with the booking entity.

I will do some research. If by any means you have any documentation as a starting point i will gladly accept.

    Thanks again for you help.

    Regards,
