Deinstallation portal integration from an existing Marketing instance

Dear all,

At the beginning of our implementation project for Dynamics for Marketing they activated the portal integration.

But we don't need this for the first Go Live and we would like to uninstall it.

The problem is that the documentation says that after uninstalling it, the standard subscription center function is not available, which is intended for when you don't have portal integration in the initial installation.

See Documentation:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/portal-optional:

If you initially installed Marketing with portal integration enabled, then you did not receive a default subscription center (which otherwise would be running on the service fabric of your Marketing instance). You still won't have one after you remove the portal integration, and you can't manually create pages that run on the service fabric. You must therefore create at least one subscription center on your external website and configure your content settings to link to it before your remove the portal.

How to proceed here? Is it not possible to have the support team create this page afterwards?

The Marketing App is currently linked to a sales test instance. But we want to connect the Marketing App with the productive sales instance next week.
Could the default subscription center be installed (running on the service fabric of your Marketing instance, which can be used when not using a portal)?

The Marketing Instance has the followingdefault Marketing page: XXXXXX.svc.dynamics.com/.../manageSubscriptions

Is this the marketing page running on the service fabric?

Will this marketing page will be deleted if we deinstall portals?

If not - my problem is solved. Please clarify this.

    Hi Jenni,

If your subdomain(where you put XXX) is a GUID (auto assigned sequence of numbers), then it shouldn’t be deleted if you remove the Portals.

But yes, normally if you delete the Portal you would lose all Mkt pages running on that Portal.

    Hope this helps.
