Enable learning path authoring

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi gentlemen,

I have updated CRM dynamics to update 1, there I know the learning path is a new functionality but I can't enable learning path authoring.

Does anyone have the same problem? and how can I start writing learning paths?

Regards,

Ruud

Is this feature available for On-Prem? I followed the instructions above, but i do not have the enable option on my General Tab for System Settings.

    Hi

Please follow this, and it works for me.

    1. Settings –> Administration –> System Settings.  On the General tab, Set Enable Learning Path = Yes and Enable Learning Path Authoring = Yes.

    2. After that, individual user can Enable/Disable by Settings -> Opt out of Learning path/Opt In of Learning Path.

    3. Go to Office 365 Admin portal (where we add users to CRM), Groups -> Select Learning Path Authors -> Members (click Edit link at the right)->Click Add Members button at the top -> Select the users and Click Save

close the last two windows so that you can see all the members for this group.

Now the users in this group should be able to author Learning path.

I am having the same problem in a recent 365 trial.  When I try to enable authoring, there is an error when trying to create the group.

But you enabled authoring in the system settings?

Are you member of the created group "Learning Path Authors" in the Office 365 admin portal?

    Thank you for your reply!

I just tried it again, I was on a Lead form and clicked on Content Library and it redirected to my main Sales dashboard, and i didn't see the Learning Path editor.

I'm having a similar issue. When i click on the content Library to open learning path, it direct me to my Main dashboard.

But this is correct behaviour. You can "start" the content library from every dashboard, view or form. To do this, go to the point, where you would like to add a learning path and click on "Content Library" in the sitemap. The window will refresh and after some time (10 secs or so) you will see the editor of the learning path.
