Sync CRM Contacts to a Shared Outlook Contact List

There are many ways to sync CRM contacts to multiple users' Outlook clients.  I have the opposite challenge.  A client has a large central contact list in Outlook that is completely separate from their individual Outlook contact lists. They want the Central List to sync to the CRM contacts.  They do NOT want the CRM contacts synchronizing to their individual Outlook Contact lists.  Is there a way to do this, other than purchasing another license and setting up a user named, for instance, Outlook Main?

    Why even bother?  If the users have the Outlook plugin, they can go straight to CRM's contacts the same way they can go to a shared Exchange Contacts list and use them the same way.  CRM just becomes another address book in Outlook.

    I would recommend as a solution to load the shared contacts into CRM, and then remove them from the shared list in Exchange.

    That was exactly my initial reaction.  The answer is that more than half of the users work only from their ipads and iphones.  When they're in the field, they don't want to have to log into CRM or work from their notebooks that could have the Outlook Client.
