how to activate a contact who has unsubscribed from the subscription center

Hi, somebody knows  how can I reactivate some contacts who has unsubscribed from the subscription center, and have the system allow me to send them marketing emails again

    Hi Alejandra,

    > If contact checked "Do not email" option.

    Change Bulk Email field of contact to "Allow".(In Contact > Details > Contact preferences)

    > If contact unchecked checkbox of a subscription list.  

    Add contact to a specific subscription list/marketing list again.(Site map > Customers > Subscription lists)

    Note: 1. "Do not bulk email" overrules subscription list memberships, but it also means that list memberships will be reactivated if a contact later clears "do not bulk email".

    2. We may need to get confirmation/consent from contacts to manually change their already chosen preferences.

    Hi Alejandra,

    you need to be careful with sending messages to such customers, to stay compliant with GDPR (or eg CAN SPAM if you're in US).

    As Clofly has written, your actions would depend on what exactly happened during unsubscribe - was it unsubscribe for all newsletters or for one only, or was it "don't contact me again".

    In general, you will need to ask for their consent again - eg send them a transactional "re-consent" email asking to confirm their consent level. Based on their feedback, you will either gain their permission to send marketing emails again or will need to remove them from your audience completely.
