what could be causing this after an office 2010 install

    You most likely need to reinstall the VBA components on the affected workstation.  You don't mention your version, so I cannot give specific guidance, because it can vary based on version.

    Best global solution is to uninstall/reinstall the SL client on the affected workstation.
