Estimated Fees calculated wrong

Hi there,

In our dynamics environment, it seems Estimated Fees are calculated wrong.

Basically, whenever we create a task and assign a resource to that task, estimated fees get updated to show the total of the last resource not the total of all the task lines.

I did a bit of investigation and it seems like the column "remaining labor sales" in the Project table is the one not updating correctly.

I'm not sure if this is due to some flow/process which is switched off, but I can't really see anything.

For example:

If I have task X for resource A charging 100 a day for 10 days, my estimated fees show as 1000.

Then if I add task Y for resource B charging 200 a day for another 10 days, the estimated fees for the project get updated to 2000, not 3000.

any idea on how to fix this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

So, is the estimate price wrong inside the Project and also inside a Quote when you import into a Quote?

You can also ping me in LinkedIn and I can try and get on a quick call with you.

    Thanks

    Hi Juan,

    Thanks for this.

We do have the price lists setup correctly against the roles and the generic resource has a defauly role assigned too.

The issue is, estimate calculate only using the last line added to the tasks and take the rate for that resource and multiply by number of days.

This is during the very early stages of project creation before anyone report time against the project, just to keep the things simple.

    Hi D365_83,

That's probably an issue with your price list(s). Check both your cost and sales and check if you have the ROLE as part of those lists (they should match as well):

The user or generic resource you added must have that as their defaulted role assigned (inside Bookable Resources) for this to work:

Let me know if that helps and please, mark this as answered.

    Thanks!
