Message when users launch Great Plains 2013

We just upgraded to GP 2013. We did not see this behavior in the test upgrade environment.

Here is he scenario. We upgraded from GP 2010 to GP 2013 with SP1. After the users launch Great Plains they see a message stating, "The Human Resources Integrated with Payroll module is registered, but no HRP dictionary is available on this machine. To access the additional Human Resources information, please load the dictionary."

I checked the shared folder for the dictionary and I checked in the backup copy of the folder from before the upgrade. We do not have an HR.dic file. I even checked in the backup of our 10.0 folder. I can't seem to find very much information on the public information or on partner source or customer source.

Is there a way to build the HR.dic file?

I am not sure what to try as I do not want to cause any complications as I am new to supporting Great Plains.

If anyone can provide any assistance I would appreciate it.

Thank you for reading this and any suggestions you may have.

Go back to Programs and Features and add the HR module to the GP installation.

The HR or HRP module, don't they modify the database tables when you install?

    Thanks for replying,

Your registration keys indicate you are licensed for HR. So after adding the HR module it will install the tables required for HR.

Okay, thank you very much. I will give it a shot and mark it as the answer when it works.

    Thank You,

...Actually... from my layman's prespective, since we will not be leveraging the HR functionality, wouldn't it serve us better to uncheck the checkbox in the product registration?

I appreciate all of your assistance.

    Regards,

    Chris

The choice is yours. Just remember each time you enter new regsitration keys you will need to uncheck that box.

Is there a way to turn that messaging off without disabling Human Resources from the registration keys?  We run an integration into Payroll that will not run with HR activated.  Previously, we had setup this to run on a machine that did not have HR installed.  However, we are using a Terminal Server environment now and I setup a launch file that does not load HR for this integration.  Now the messages are causing the integration to fail.  Is there a way that I can disable these messages?

    Thanks - Joe Guyton
