Hi Guys,

Im trying to figure out what drives the "Competitor" field within the Close Opportunity dialog box? ice_5F00_screenshot_5F00_20180112_2D00_120946.png

The competitor field is a locked field and Id like to know:

1, What is driving this locked field? I tried to populate the competitor field within the Lead level thinking this folwed through but my test proved unsuccessful.

2. Is it possible to make this field unlocked and add a list of competitors to the dropdown?

3. Is this a field that has been customed built into our company CRM and is not an out of the box solution meaning I need to find the person who built this in and ask him what is the purpose of this field being here?

Thanks for your help, very much appreciated.

    Hi there.

This dialogue occurs after clicking on the button "Close as WON". It's a system dialogue and cannot be modified.

If you won an opportunity it's not necessary to add a competitor... you have won it!

If you lost an opportunity (by clicking on the button "Close as LOST") the field competitor is not read only and you can enter the competitor you lost against.

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Karsten
