Restore mistakenly deleted or changed data in BC cloud version

hi,

is it really a must-do without any alternative to call the microsoft support, hoping that the support engineer restores the correct data in the correct way, if a user has mistakenly deleted or changed data, when on BC cloud version?

Did someone face that issue? if yes, how did you solve that?

regards

sounds not very sexy, but if that's the way to do it currently, then ok.

Data correction can be done with custom “support” extensions that add pages that opens the tables you need to correct with the right permissions, or by using codeunits. Direct access to the database in a SaaS environment will be always forbidden.

this is not the answered, i wanted to read. :-( but it is how it is. what i wonder, is that this topic seems to be no issue for all the partners & customers out there, who are working with bc/cloud.

so let's wait until the first data crashes. then microsoft will have to do something.

in first place a standard way to modify, correct data is needed.

so work with xmlports, rapidstart for import/export?

can the sql databases in the back office of bc/cloud be accessed directly via smss/sql? if yes, that would be the way to do it.

Actually there's no other way for doind that :( Possibility of performing a custom data restore is a featured asked to the team from a long time and this is something under evaluation (and planned for the future).
