Thank you for quick response on this.

I tried suggestion in the link above but it didnt work. When i run the build pipeline, it is giving me this error :

No agent found in pool Default which satisfies the following demand: COMPUTERNAME. All demands: DynamicsSDK, COMPUTERNAME -equals ******, DotNetFramework, msbuild, vstest, Agent.Version -gtVersion 2.144.0

Also fyi, the build agent i am using has a capability name "COMPUTERNAME" which is pointing to existing build vm. I want it to point to another build vm.

    Thanks

Each VM has its own agent, so you need to specify the computername for the VM that has the agent you want...?

You're misunderstanding the architecture. An agent is a piece of software that is installed on a computer. When you deploy a build VM, LCS installs an agent on that build VM for you.

So if you want a specific "agent", you're really saying you want a specific build VM. So, if you know the computer name of the build VM, you can specify that computer name as outlined by the blog post.

I'm sorry but the fact that you're asking that question sort of tells me you shouldn't be doing this.

Can you please tell me what it is you're trying to do? Can you just deploy a new build VM?

    Thanks Joris for your response.

I cannot provision new build vm. i have to use existing build vm and existing agent. Now how can i update existing agent to point to existing vm.

I looked at your earliest post, which is telling to update COMPUTERNAME property in agent. But the agent i am using, has this property already set and i cant seem to edit it.
