How to find upgrade models in AX 2012 R2 before upgrading to R3

I have started upgrading from AX R2 to R3 following the upgrade guide, i have a confusion , how can i find out if there are any upgrade models in AX 2012 R2. is there any command or way to look for that ?

Reference from guide: Delete all earlier upgrade models from all layers of the production environment, and then synchronize the database. Upgrade models contain the word "Upgrade" in the name.

    Hi Mohammad,

You can look at the installed models from e.g. the About Microsoft Dynamics AX form. Then look for the models with the word "Upgrade" as you already mentioned in your post.

    Hi Mohammed,

The update could be related to cumulative updates like "Update for foundation". These are not the "upgrade" models like referenced in the guide.

    Hi, Mohammed!

Another way to see all models installed is by using the axutil command tool.

    C:\> axutil list

This command should retrieve all models installed in the model store. You can delete the models with this utility too:

    C:\> axutil delete /model: <model name>
